Strategic Plan

Strategic Plan

The strategic plan is a plan that describes the state of the appraisal district five years from the current date, January 2025.

We will stay current with legislative changes created by the legislature.

The appraisal district will continue to incorporate evolving technology in order to be more efficient and responsive to the needs of the taxpayer.

We will continue to use technology (Pictometry), field data collection devices, exemption audit tools (Trueroll), and other developing technologies to better gather data and assess changes to properties within the district.

The commercial and personal property departments will continue to grow and utilize more sophisticated appraisal techniques in the valuation of commercial and personal property. These two departments will be combined to ensure that we are increasing our efficiency and accuracy for each account.

The residential department will continue to grow and utilize more sophisticated appraisal techniques in the valuation of residential property. Land valuation will continue to be updated and more consistent within the district. These two departments will be combined to ensure that we are increasing our efficiency and accuracy for each account.

We will continue to update and add to the photos of the property within the district.

We will endeavor to increase awareness of the property tax system with the public and the taxing entities. We will provide more public outreach events with public classes, as well as a social media presence and add more content to the website.
